Phase I – Immediate Relief Housing (Additional Capacity 180 Beds) This phase consists of one (1) new inmate housing unit to provide an additional 180 beds. This phase also contains staff parking for 100 vehicles, renovation/expansion of the existing food services, laundry, and commissary and the renovation of an existing building for video visitation. Phase II – The addition of intake / release facility and video visitation facility This phase consists of the construction of a new intake and release facility that includes a 40-bed pre-classification area, a medical facility that includes 12-bed “crisis” mental health beds, 36 stepped mental health beds, and a 16-bed infirmary, and a special housing area including a 24-bed “swing” unit for protective custody of inmates and/or juveniles as well as a new video visitation center.
